Wacky Tacky Wednesday

Dear Parents,

We have had a GREAT two days of Week 2! The fun continues tomorrow (Wednesday, June 12th) with our 2nd dress up day of MJCC Camp 2013.

After Camp Activties

Dear Parents, 
Our Camp Staff wants to ensure your camper(s) are in the correct place, by making sure all of our campers reach their after camp activities here at the JCC. If you have registered your camper for any after camp activity, such as Summer Taekwondo, Basketball Training and Development with Coach Henry, Tennis Lessons, Swim Team or Art Lessons; please email daycamp@jccmemphis.org with the following:

Camp Lunch and Field Trip Information

Dear Parents,
Please read the information below regarding camp lunches and field trips.

LUNCH
Campers must bring a sack lunch every day.  Please write the camper's full name and camp group on his/her lunch bag. Our Staff will collect the lunches in the morning. Lunches are stored in the Social Hall Kitchen. Lunches will be stored in a cool, dry place, but will NOT be refrigerated. If your child forgets his/her lunch, please be sure it is brought to the camp office before 11:00 am. Please do not send money for lunch - the vending machines are not available to campers.  Kosher camp lunches may also be ordered through Holy Cow. Please Note: All Holy Cow lunch orders must be turned in directly to Holy Cow.  If you have any questions please contact Holy Cow at 901.598.1152.

Holy Cow will be on hand this Sunday, June 2nd for Meet Your Counselor Day to answer any questions you may have regarding lunch orders.  Please return ALL Holy Cow lunch order forms to Holy Cow directly.  The Camp office does NOT receive or process any Holy Cow lunch order forms. 

FIELD TRIPS
MJCC Campers will attend field trips on Thursdays. Please see the attached Field Trip Permission Slip for which Thursdays your camper will attend a field trip. ALL campers must wear their Day Camp T-Shirt on ALL Field Trip Days. Some field trip locations may also require campers to wear socks; these field trips are noted on the attached field trip schedule. In order for your camper to attend field trips with their camp group the attached Field Trip Permission Slip must be completed, signed and returned to the camp office.  Some field trip locations require an additional liability waiver to be completed and returned prior to field trip day. In this instance you will receive the liability waiver in a separate email, which should also be completed and returned to the camp office.

Campers with ECC Siblings Pick-Up Procedure

Dear Parents,
Please read the Campers with ECC Siblings Pick-Up procedure detailed below. All ECC campers must be signed out from their classroom by a parent or guardian. Day campers who have siblings in the ECC can be taken to the multipurpose room to be signed out and picked up if the parent notifies the Day Camp Office in advance. To ensure the Camper pickup process goes smoothly as possible, we want to make sure your camper(s) are in the correct place. If you have a camper in both ECC Camp and Day Camp, and would like your camper brought inside for pickup please email daycamp@jccmemphis.org with the following:

NEW Sunscreen Policy

We are gearing up for a great summer, and we can’t wait to see you all at Meet Your Counselors on Sunday, June 2nd at 10:00am. Due to various allergies, we have implemented a NEW Sunscreen Policy. All campers are now required to bring his/her own sunscreen to be applied at camp.

The NEW Sunscreen Policy/Media Release Form is required for returning campers and new campers. Parents that have previously submitted the former Sunscreen/Media Release form are also required to complete the NEW Sunscreen Policy/Media Release.
