July 15th was Israel Day 2014 at MJCC Day Camp. Campers spent the day learning about Israel and participating in many activities with our Israeli Scouts. We started the day off with Pita making which was fantastic over the fire at the camp grounds. A lot of the campers enjoyed doing army training with Arad in the fields which included crawling and jumping. Campers also had a blast playing chutes and ladders on the map of Israel and making Israeli flags with their hand prints. All of our Israel Day projects looked fabulous. Israel Day 2014 was awesome and we can't wait for Israel day 2015!!!

SCIENCE
We had an amazing first day in science camp! We had a challenge where we had to build a boat out of duct tape cups and straws. These boats had to stay afloat for at least 10 seconds while holding at least 25 pennies. Not all of us were able to accomplish this task but we had fun trying. We can't wait for even more challenges.
OSHER-2
Osher 2 is starting off week six with the total bang! From playing foursquare at the campgrounds to learning new and fun games like corn hole! Zach Leonard a proud camper, said that I can't wait to play goggles all my friends later all in all good things are in store for osher 2.
PAEEL-2
Paeel 2 started this Monday by welcoming 15 bright and eager faces. After an energizing cheer session and a patriotic camp favorite we like to call the Star-Spangled Banner we kicked off the morning with the game gaga. Our terrific troop of campers consists of 15 fun guys. After gaga we went to scouts where we learned about Israel and played with rope. Then we went to the world famous JCC pool for instructional swim. We then had free time which we chose to spend playing knockout. We had an awesome day 1 of week 6 in Paeel 2!

What a week! This week was packed full of exciting things for our campers. The week began with all of our friends meeting their new counselors. On Tuesday and Wednesday our traditional campers were split into four different colors for cor war! We played many new fun games that the campers seemed to really enjoy such as, Camp Feud and Treasure Water. Thursday was filled with fields trips and another Paeel overnight filled with night time swimming and finishing the night with popcorn and a movie. For the last day of session 5 with a great cookout at the camp grounds! Along with all this fun, tennis, baseball and circus camps were working really hard to perfect their talents! All in all it was a great week! See ya next week!
